So a few months ago someone sent in a ask about not liking tomatoes and wanting to say they are allergic when order. Here why you shouldn’t do this, coming from a fast food worker who cares about their job. When someone tells me their allergic, I have to go through several steps to assure people don’t die. This lady came up to me as I’m making food and tells me that she is allergic to bacon. So I throw away her bagels, sanitize the cutting board, change my gloves, grab a new knife and just to make sure, I went in the back and grab two fresh bagels. As soon as I do this, the lady starts asking me what I’m doing. Obviously I’m confused, you don’t tell me you’re allergic to something and ask what I’m doing when I’m trying to sanitize the area. But whatever, so as I’m remaking her food. She leans over and tells me “I’m not actually allergic, just have a strong distaste.” When I tell you, I was ready to punch this lady in the throat, I was so ready. I went through all this shit, put myself behind on orders. Just to make sure I didn’t hurt this lady only to find out that there was no fucking need to.

So please, if you’re not actually allergic. Just say you don’t want it on your sandwich and politely tell the person making your food if you can. If you choose to take my advice, just keep quiet about your lie. If you did what the lady did to me, you will have angry Employees who will talk shit about you everytime you come in. Angry employees never forget
